1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the R3 China website and the pages, forms and digital services that link to it (together, the “Website”). It does not apply to information processed for client engagements under separate agreements, employee information, or third-party websites and services.
“R3 China”, “R3”, “we” or “us” means the R3 China operating entity identified in the Website registration details shown in the footer. That entity determines the purposes and means of processing personal information through this Website.

If sensitive information is genuinely required, we will provide a separate notice and obtain separate consent where required.

3. Sources of information
We primarily obtain personal information from you when you complete a form, email us, request a report or subscribe. With your consent, we also collect limited Website usage information using first-party cookies and similar technologies.
Where reasonable and lawful, we may receive business contact information from your organisation, mutual contacts, public corporate websites or professional platforms. Anyone providing information about another person should be authorised to do so.
4. Legal grounds
Depending on applicable law and the context, we process information with your consent, where necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract, to comply with legal obligations, or on another basis permitted by law.
Marketing subscriptions are separate from processing an enquiry, partner submission or report request. Marketing choices are unchecked by default. You may refuse or withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for the shortest period necessary for the purposes in this policy, considering the duration of our relationship, subscription status, dispute and audit needs, and legal requirements.
In general, analytics data is periodically aggregated or deleted under an approved analytics cycle; enquiry, partner and report records are retained until the request and reasonable follow-up are complete; marketing contacts are retained until opt-out or consent expires; and transaction, consent, audit and security records are retained where required by law. At the end of the period, information is deleted, anonymised or otherwise no longer processed unless law requires otherwise.
7. Security
We use proportionate organisational and technical measures, including access control, authentication, protected transmission, logging and audit, vendor management, backups and incident response, to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.
No internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. If a personal information incident may harm your rights, we will take remedial action and notify affected people and authorities as required by law.
